Character Name: Edea Lee
Series: Bravely Default
Gender: female
Age: 18
Species: human

Appearance: Edea is a little shorter than average for her age, with a petite build that emphasizes the age gap between her and her companions. Although she is the youngest of them, she is quite physically capable; she trained under one of the best swordmasters in Eternia, and was assigned to the Eternian Sky Knights by the time she was eighteen. She has pale blonde hair that comes past her shoulders and light blue eyes. Though different jobs give her different outfits, her default is the Freelancer outfit, which is modelled after the uniform of the Sky Knights.

Personality: Edea is a spirited young lady, bold and sometimes blunt, unafraid to say exactly what’s on her mind. She has very strong convictions and sees the world divided into black and white (She even has a “white as snow” and “black as pitch” list for describing things she likes or dislikes). When it comes to morality, she holds fast to exactly what she believes in, and cannot be swayed without an obvious contridiction to her point of view staring her in the face. Although she was brought up as the Grand Marshal’s daughter and raised in an Eternian woldview, when she sees cruelty enacted by her fellow sky knights, she loses her temper and turns on them- she declares them to be evil and sides with Agnes and her companions, despite being on the oposed side only a moment before. One of the things Edea struggles with throughout her journey with Agnes, Tiz, and Ringabel is understanding why her father pursues a path that is in conflict with the side she has chosen. Several past-acquaintances who she comes across warn her to speak face to face with her father and confront their differences, or else reap regret later.

Her strong sense of what is right and wrong are often what set off Edea’s temper, which rears its head fairly frequently. Nothing gets her riled up more than things she considers villainous and cruel. But other things can set off her temper as well- Ringabel’s constant pursuit of beautiful women and philandering usually get Edea to snap at him.

Although Edea is the Grand Marshal’s daughter and was raised in a life of luxury, she is far from a spoiled brat. She has worked hard to gain the approval of her father and her master, Kamiizumi, and sets out from Eternia partially to make them proud. It’s clear Edea is used to comforts, though; she goes on lavish shopping sprees from time to time (once on Tiz’s wallet), and delights in rich foods, especially sweets.
